The Junior Nordic Program is open to beginners, advanced cross-country skiers, and everyone inbetween. It's the best way for youth and teens to perfect their cross-country skiing technique, efficiency, and endurance out on the Nordic trails. Each age division is split into groups based on ability level to create a comfortable and effective learning experience. For all ability levels. |

8 week program

• Little Nords - Ages 7-10
• Freeheelers - Ages 11-14
• Trailblazers - Ages 15-17

Little Nords work on strengthening their classic and downhill skills and most groups will ski the upper trail system by season end.

Older Little Nord groups will also split their season between skating and classic.

Freeheelers and Trailblazers ski both classic and skate and work on perfecting their technique, efficiency, and endurance.

Students MUST supply own gear (either rented or purchased) AND Trail Access (Season Pass or daily trail tickets).

While the kids are away the parents will... Ski! The JNP Parents lesson program is designed to fit just right for the parents of students in the Junior Nordic Program. Each lesson starts shortly after the junior program and finishes just in time to meet your kids for lunch. |

For any fitness level, a solid foundation can be used to progress to the more advanced trails and techniques. Learn all of the basic techniques needed to safely and comfortably ski the local trails. You'll learn foundation-building techniques of classic striding, stopping, and slowing. Or for skating you'll learn diagonal, V1, and V2. Lessons take place on the flats and some gentle hills. The course will conclude with a tour of one of the area's most popular scenic trails. |
